Hey guys, Darren suggested the following opportunity for the youth group to help out in the community:

Red Shield Appeal- Door-knocking
Who are the Salvos A community-focused charity. To quote their mission statement:
'The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by love for God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in his name without discrimination.'
What is the Red Shield Appeal? Most of you will know about their Op Shops but they also other programs such as drug & alcohol rehab and helping homeless people. The money raised from the Appeal goes towards funding this. This year's target is $75 million
When? 29th May-6th June
What do you do?You spend 2 hours or more door-knocking in pairs
